RPG are in the process of preparing 3 projects into the wind resource and planning stages of development. The projects are being progressed under development contracts with 3 large Irish companies. The projects will vary in size from 900kw to 9MW. Initial discussions with the relevent planning authorities has been favourable.

Renewable Power Generation Ltd. has been awarded a grant under Sustainable Energy Ireland’s (SEI) Incubator Programme for companies operating in the renewable energy sector. The Programme is intended to encourage innovation in the sustainable energy sector, by supporting new ventures focusing on clean energy technologies and services in Ireland. The development of innovative new businesses in the sustainable energy sector has been identified as a key priority by the Government and the programme is part of SEI’s work to support this. “Renewable Power Generation is delighted to receive this grant from SEI, in support of our role enabling Irish industry to develop onsite industrial wind electricity ,” according to Dave McNamara, Managing Director.

RPG has added two new employees to the development team. John Leahy is a practising electrical engineer with 11 years working for multinationals in a technical and project management role. Dave Eves is a degree qualified town planner who previously worked for Kildare county council.
As part of their continuous development both John and Dave are pursuing master studies in their relevent disciplines. John is currently completing a part time MSc in energy management while Dave is midway through a MSc in environmental management and sustainable development.

Renewable Power Generation will be exhibiting at the Energy Show 2008 at the RDS, Dublin for 2 days from Wednesday April 16. Organised by SEI, this business to business event is a must for anyone with a professional interest in or responsibility for energy use.
The format will consist of a two-day trade exhibition coupled with a seminar programme covering the topical aspects of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
The Energy Show is specifically designed as a forum for suppliers and customers of more sustainable energy technologies and services to meet and transact business. It provides a forum for suppliers of sustainable energy products and services to present, explain and demonstrate their technologies and experience.

RPG attended and gave a presentation on wind electricity auto-production at the IWEA conference. The conference was held on the 29th and 30th of March in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin. RPG have recently moved office to the Synergy Centre in Tallaght.Synergy Centre at ITT Dublin is the innovation centre of South Dublin County, providing office space and business supports to early-stage enterprises. Their focus is on high technology and knowledge intensive companies such as Renewable Power Generation Ltd.
